What SiteHealth checks
Five categories today, plain language either way.
Accessibility
Catches the real things that lock people out — low-contrast text, missing labels, and more — with a plain explanation of who it affects and how to fix it, not a wall of raw scanner output.
Security
Checks for the common, damaging mistakes — exposed backup files, debug mode left on in production — the kind of thing that's easy to miss and costly to leave.
Performance
A real 0-100 score from real Core Web Vitals — how fast the page's main content actually appears, and whether the layout stays put while it loads — plus what's actually slowing it down, not just a number.
Broken Links
Follows the links on your page and flags the ones that don't actually work — a dead "Buy Now" or "Contact Us" link is one of the most common, and costliest, reasons a site feels abandoned.
SEO Basics
The on-page fundamentals search engines actually look at — page title, meta description, heading structure — checked for the mistakes that quietly answer "why don't I show up on Google."
Before we scan anything: you verify you actually control the site — a DNS record or a file on your own server, the same way services like Let's Encrypt or Google Search Console confirm ownership. We only look at what's publicly visible on your site — nothing behind a login, nothing stored beyond what's needed to show you your report. We never scan a site you haven't proven is yours.
What a finding actually looks like
Real examples, not a sales pitch — one per category.
Your "Contact us" button text is hard to read against its background — some visitors may not be able to read it at all.
Darken the text or lighten the button background so there's more contrast between them.
A backup copy of your site is sitting at a guessable URL, publicly reachable — that's the kind of file that shouldn't be exposed at all.
Remove the file from the public folder, or move it somewhere your web server won't serve it directly.
The page's main content takes over 4 seconds to appear, and the layout keeps shifting while images load — visitors on a slower connection feel this hardest.
Compress the largest above-the-fold image, and reserve space for content that loads in late so it doesn't shift everything else around it.
Your "Contact Us" link and two others on this page lead to a page that no longer exists — a visitor clicking through hits a dead end.
Update or remove each broken link — usually a page that was renamed or deleted without updating what links to it.
This page has nothing telling search engines what it's about — Google ends up guessing, usually pulling an awkward snippet straight from the page itself.
Add a real, specific meta description written for a person deciding whether to click, not stuffed with keywords.
Plain language, not jargon — a real score where one exists, and always what to do about it.
